I recently found some money left over from a holiday about 15 years ago. I took this to my usual high street Foreign Exchange office, but the currency was no longer in circulation and so they were unable to help.
I then discovered Foreign Money Exchange who could accept the money. They were also able to accept a selection of small amounts of other currencies, both coins and notes, I had lying around.
The website was very easy to use and I registered the money, sent it off in the post and received a payment in my bank account 1 working day later.

Found FME via a google search to change some old Croatian Kuna notes which are no longer used since they joined the Euro. Filled the form in online, immediate acknowledgement received. As they happened to be local to me I decided to deliver the notes to their offices to avoid the Special Delivery postage charge that I would have incurred although the postage choice is your own. Money received into my account in less than three hours of my delivering the notes. Couldn't have been easier. Would recommend them to anyone.

I was a little concerned about using a postal service for exchanging cash. However, I followed their instructions to the letter. Posted cash inside an old Birthday card and sent "signed for". The letter was signed for at about 11am the next day - and in about three hours the money was in my bank account. Online website is easy to use and secure. Whilst getting financially prepared for a holiday to Croatia I established that the the Croatian Kuna was now obsolete and had been replaced with the Euro. I used the services of FME to exchange those Kuna that I had hung onto from a previous visit to Croatia. Having found an envelope of Croatian currency from a previous holiday I was disappointed to find that it was no longer legal tender. It could still be exchanged at a Croatian bank but I had no plans to visit before the deadline. So I find a bunch of foreign notes in a holdall my mother left in my garage about 10 years ago, some I was able to exchange at the Post Office, but they wouldn't take them all because of the age of the notes. When I happened upon this website I thought it was too good to be true. My husband used to work overseas a lot, and on his return he'd just stuff his left over currency in a drawer. Well, it wasn't worth anything in the drawer so I thought I might try to sell it on this website. I was pleasantly surprised. Very easy to use, with pictures of the notes and coins. had a load of really old bank notes left to me from uncle, from all over the world, at first went to post office but they said they were too old, so i sent to fme and only one day later got all the money changed and in to my bank, first class service.

I was hesitant about sending off my out of date currency but I need not have worried. The website was easy to use, I had a mail when the post was received, and the money was in my account the day after that.
I can recommend FME wholeheartedly.

Found several Swiss francs in a drawer left over from a holiday many years ago. Held on to them as Swiss currency is said to be stable. Didn’t know then that they change their banknotes every 10 or 15 years and mine had been withdrawn as legal currency and were now obsolete. Found FME via a google search which offered me a lifeline. The only other option was to book a flight to Basle or Zurich and change in person at the Swiss National Bank. Yes I took a hit on the exchange rate but am now better off to the tune of £128.00. Process is exactly as described on website with email updates and good communication. I managed to offload foreign coins that had gathered dust in the same drawer from foreign trips which realised another £10. Happy to highly recommend as service is as stated and I am now £143.00 better off.

Having registered for an account with FME it was fairly easy to follow the instructions and fill in their form. What a pleasant surprise how much my old notes were worth. A very fair exchange rate, far far better than just disposing of them. Thank you.

I used Foreign Money Exchange to covert some out-of-date Swiss Franc notes to sterling. I had kept these on the assumption that the Swiss Franc tends to hold its value against sterling but found on next holiday they could not longer be used. FME provided a much quicker solution than going to a the offices of the National Bank in Switzerland.
The exchange rate provided by FME was excellent and the within 24 hours of my posting the notes to them the money was in my bank account. They respond immediately to any email inquiries and keep one informed of progress. Totally professional and reliable

Found old Belgian Franc Notes in a drawer and was pleasantly surprised to find I could still exchange them along with some left over coins from previous foreign travel. Sent them all off to FME Wednesday afternoon and my bank account was credited the following day. Excellent service would recommend.

Two donors gave our charity a large assortment of coins - spare change collected from their travels over many years to many different countries. I found FME from a web search and chose them because they gave decent rates for Euros and US dollars, and were happy to take unsorted coins from the other countries. The form was easy to fill in, and the packing and posting instructions were clear. I received an email 2 days after posting to say the coins had arrived with FME. Later the same day, the funds were credited to our chairty's account, and I received more for them than I expected. Have already recommended FME to another chairity and would use again with no hesitation.

I was nervous about posting foreign currency for exchange but I needn't have been. I had Swiss notes to exchange which weren't legal tender since 2021. FME gave me a very competitive exchange rate and sent immediate payment to my bank account. I'd highly recommend.

What can I say, posted my currency tracked next day with Royal Mail, saw that letter been received and within a few hours the transaction was complete and money in my account. Their exchange rate is very good compared to others. Top class service. I should say there was one off putting thing which wasnt FME fault, when I went to Royal Mail website to print a postage label, FME doesnt appear on the drop down addresses suggested by Royal Mail so you have to enter it manually, and at that point you may be questioning yourself are they real. Well I am glad I didnt back off then. Complete perfect service, would not hesitate to use again.
